The Law and Social Media

I worry about how the law can be enforced in the age of Facebook and Twitter. It’s so easy for people to break the law and so difficult to catch them. It’s a little difficult to explain, but if we have a think about the Ched Evans thing, we might be getting somewhere. Certainly, that’s what started this line of thought.

The 10 Best Themes for Google Chrome

Google Chrome is one of the most customisable web browsers around. One of the great things about it is the ability to customise the browser's theme. There are thousands to choose from in the Chrome Web Store, but I've narrowed the list down to 10 of the best ones.

Top 5 Alternative Web Browsers

We've all heard of Internet Explorer. And most of us have heard of Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and Opera. But those 5 aren't the only web browsers out there. There are plenty of alternatives to the "Big 5" web browsers, and with so many options out there, I thought it would be helpful to compile a short list of good - but less well known - web browsers.

StumbleUpon. You might have heard of it, but you probably haven't tried it. Please, do so.

In case you're not totally sure what StumbleUpon is about, let me explain. It's a way of searching the web - or rather, a huge catalog of web pages about a bunch of different topics. You can search by topic, or by all categories, and you'll be taken to web pages selected at random. When you're taken to a page, you can like or dislike it, and this will help the system find better, more relevant pages for you. If you happen to find a cool website or useful article while surfing the web, you can add it to StumbleUpon's catalog so other people can stumble across it in the future. It's a great way to find loads of amazing things without any effort.

If you use Google Chrome, I recommend you take a look at the Chrome Web Store and download the StumbleUpon extension. I'd say it's the easiest way of doing things. My previous post, "Set Your Sights", is about a brilliant video which I would never have found if hadn't been for StumbleUpon. Check it out. If you like it try StumbleUpon for more cool stuff like it. If you don't, try it anyway for completely different cool stuff.

Tumblr Mobile Upgrade

The upgraded tumblr app (I think it’s V3.0) is actually excellent. Seriously, a bazillion times better than the previous one. It looks better and it doesn’t crash. If you use tumblr, I recommend you download it, even if you hated the previous version.
